Amy Groven
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Welcome! I'm Amy and I am excited you found my page! I have been helping people heal from trauma since 2011. Trauma often creates patterns and loops that extend into many areas of a person's life, and can be difficult or painful to overcome. Often the way people survive their trauma brings them more pain, reinforces negative beliefs that perpetuate a cycle (think bad habits, bad relationships, and low self-esteem), and can contribute to having a chaotic life.

I have helped people who have suffered from:
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Poor Self-Esteem
-
PTSD & Other Trauma
-
Dissociative Disorders
-
Somatic Disorders
-
Substance Abuse
-
Pornography Addiction
-
Sexual Abuse
-
Domestic Violence
-
Childhood Abuse and Neglect
I work with clients to overcome their past, calm their bodies, and bring peace to their own lives. My practice focuses on bolstering strengths so they can face their past and find new meaning in life. I utilize a variety of techniques, such as grounding and meditation, somatic interventions, EMDR, as well as talk therapy techniques.
I can hold space for you and teach you how to hold that space for yourself. Join me here to learn ways to care for yourself and move past the trauma that has been haunting you.
When I am not treating clients, I can be found riding my adult tricycle, laying under a tree somewhere or playing with my incredibly adorable Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Luna.
